Smooth Criminal - Chapter II
Robo Jackson has become a global start by now, touring all over the world. No matter where, every show he performs is a sold out within days of announcement. And RJ keeps serving them without a hitch, unless the hitch is a part of the plan. On the surface it might sound unnecessary but according to the AI's calculation, it is a necessity. Simply put, you can't have the highs without the lows. Some delayed or canceled shows here and there only increases the hype and anticipation for the next one. It substitutes the human factor as once on stage, RJ is flawless.
Behind the scene of the world tours, a team of professionals works fulltime to take care of the body of RJ. It's a sophisticated piece of machinery that requires high maintenance. After each performance which is set for exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes, it takes about another 45 minutes for a full recharge and all kind of fluid refills to get RJ ready for its next show. So after performing each spectacular show on stage, RJ gives its iconic kiss goodbye to the audience and walks its way back to its personal trailer. Inside the trailer is its docking station, an egg shaped structure twice the size of RJ, looks like kind of an oxygen chamber. Its translucent wall blurs all the necked complexity of twisted wires and metal claws eagerly waiting to be jacked into the popstar when it is in its resting positing. As soon as RJ docks itself inside the chamber, a team of engineers begins their routine checks. For the next 20 minutes they will review every joints, bolts, valves, fluid levels while RJ is connects itself to the Thriller.
The Thriller is the main brain behind RJ's body. A tacky name indeed for such an advanced software, the mother AI. But that's what the developers came up with so, it will have to do. Unlike the body of RJ which tours around the world, Thriller is installed on a stationary cluster of servers in the headquarter of RJ Corporation. For security measure, Thriller is not connected to the internet. So its knowledgebase is in a boxed environment (meaning under control). Only a few have a direct connection to communicate with Thriller via a special protocol. So when RJ is docked, the auxiliary computer built in RJ's body connects to Triller to upload its latest experience data while the engineers works on its body like a group of masseurs.
